I took the hand wash container and air freshener container from my work place and the popsicle stick ; I got those a last 2 year time ago from a friend I met in school I was planning to use the in my fine art process.
Firstly,I reduced the length of the hand wash soap container by marking the length I want on the body and cutting it with a knife, I then glued it together by putting super glue on the off-cut part and join the head and bottom together with it.
Secondly, I cut the bottom with a hot knife so that I can put the air freshener container in it which would be the abdomen section. After that I made space for where I will put the legs with hot knife and I joined the popsicle sticks by carving out a space for inserting the sticks into one another to form the legs, after making the legs I notice it wasn’t firm so I had to use sand and super glue to make it firm.
Finally,I made the wing with transparent nylon by cutting it in the shape of a mosquito wings and reinforcing it with broom and stuck it to the thorax part with super glue and thread.
