This custom-built drone is assembled entirely from recycled and household components. Its frame base is constructed from a padded foam casing, with a leather-textured surface used for aesthetic and functional insulation. The propulsion system includes four brushless DC motors mounted on a Gas cooker top-base, repurposed as the main rotor structure. Energy sources are made from spark plugs and flexible tubing, forming a rigid mount between the central motor hub and the drone body.
Six metallic forks serve as landing legs, fixed securely onto the sides for balanced ground support. Electrical coils and copper windings flank both sides of the main body to represent power generation or energy conversion modules. The tail features a flexible bike chain arranged in a segmented curve to mimic a scorpion’s defensive stance. At the tip, sharpened metallic parts, bolts, and screws simulate a stinger mechanism.
The front claws are built from screws, springs, washers, and sharpened forks, mimicking pincers for grappling or obstacle clearance. Fasteners, washers, and metal shavings scattered around the drone emphasize the scrapyard aesthetic and the build-from-scratch concept. This design creatively showcases upcycled utility, biomimicry, and functional imagination in drone construction.
